Halloween Pizza!

Don’t be spooked by how cute this pizza is!

This fun pizza was adapted from Country Living’s recipe in their 2023 Halloween SIP Magazine.

Around Halloween it’s hard to resist dressing up your food. From spooky donuts to frightfully fun fruit, there’s absolutely no reason not to get caught up in the feeding frenzy :-) This Ghostly Pizza was simple to make, but unfortunately not particularly quick. But on the upside it takes just a few ingredients, and not a lot of skill, to pull this dish off.

Ingredients:

-Pre-Made Pizza Crust (I used Boboli, you could also grab a frozen cauliflower crust if you’re carb conscious).

-1 Jar Pizza Sauce

-8 oz Jack, Mozzarella, or other white cheese

-6 oz Can Black Olives (you can also use green olives)

Method:

  1. Pre-cook the pizza crust according to directions on packaging - cool slightly;

  2. Spread desired amount of pizza sauce on crust leaving a 1/2 inch border on the outside;

  3. Cut cheese into ghost shapes: I did this by cutting cheese into medium thick strips lengthwise, and then cutting those pieces into 4 pieces each. I ended up with 12 pieces. Using a pointy knife, free-form cut the cheese into ghost shapes. It’s good to vary the shapes a little to give the little goblins a bit more flair.

  4. Place the ghosts around the pizza in an even formation.

  5. Slice olives into halves - place 9 or 10 skin side up around the pizza. Cut remaining olives into thirds to create legs. You can place between 3 - 4 legs each side to create little spiders as shown.

  6. Cut the rest of the olives into smaller portions to use as eyes and mouths for the ghosts.

  7. Bake for about 10 minutes at 425 - keeping careful watch not to burn.

  8. Remove and take pictures!! You’ll want to remember this beauty.
