#2. Single All the Way
Single All the Way is a fun film that keeps the romance vibe going in a totally non-cliched way. I think you can imagine that anything starring Michael Urie (Ugly Betty), Jennifer Coolidge (Friends, White Lotus, ect), Kathy Najimi (Hocus Pocus) is going to be pretty great.
Title: Netflix's "Single All the Way": A Heartwarming Holiday Rom-Com That Redefines Relationships
Get ready to cozy up with a mug of hot cocoa and indulge in the delightful holiday spirit with Netflix's romantic comedy, "Single All the Way." This heartwarming film takes audiences on a captivating journey as it challenges the conventional notions of love and friendship during the festive season.
Written and directed by the talented minds behind acclaimed hits, "Love, Simon" and "To All the Boys I've Loved Before," "Single All the Way" revolves around the life of Peter, a charming yet chronically single man, played by Michael Urie. Determined to end his embarrassing streak of solo holiday celebrations, Peter comes up with a brilliant plan to bring his best friend Nick, a handsome and charismatic actor, home for Christmas.
As Peter and Nick embark on this pretend couple adventure, hilarity and complications ensue when unexpected feelings start to blossom in this Christmas charade. The film beautifully explores the complexities of friendship, romance, and the blurred lines that often exist between the two, leaving audiences questioning whether true love has been there all along.
Supporting this lovable duo, an ensemble cast of quirky and endearing characters adds an extra layer of merriment to the narrative. Each character brings their unique charm to the screen, making viewers laugh, swoon, and cheer on the everlasting power of love in even the most unexpected places.
"Single All the Way" celebrates diversity and inclusivity, capturing the authentic emotions and experiences of modern relationships. With its uplifting soundtrack and dazzlingly festive aesthetic, this Netflix original promises to be the perfect addition to your holiday watchlist.

Whether you are spending the holidays with someone special or embracing the joys of being single, "Single All the Way" is the perfect feel-good movie to bring warmth and love to your screen this holiday season.
#3. Father Christmas is Back
If you like your holiday movie on the saucy side, this racy comedy will be your cup of tea.
Starring Kelsey Grammer, Elizabeth Hurley, John Cleese, and a full fabulous ensemble, “Father Christmas is Back” takes the notion of a genteel English Country Christmas and stands it on its head.
Set on a sprawling Yorkshire manor, the plot centers around Caroline Christmas (yes the family name is Christmas), who is hoping to host a most-perfect Christmas celebration for her children, husband, and eccentric and feuding sisters.
One thing after another ruins Caroline’s plans for a perfect holiday as each sister conspires to undermine the others in humorously petty ways, and, oh yes, their long-lost father, played by Kelsey Grammer shows up to throw a wrench into everything.
The family must work through their sibling rivalries, familial disappointments, and other setbacks as they ramble on down the road to Christmas, which they progressively do as the story unfolds. The shocking truth of why Father Christmas has been away is revealed at the end, as well as other realities that will surprise and amuse you.
While Father Christmas is Back suffered some scathing reviews when it was first released, I find it to be a refreshing palette cleanser from typical Christmas viewing. It’s a bit raunchy without being gross (I am no fan of slap-stick, raunchy humor, or a lot of the flimsy plots that pervade many comedies these days), stereotypical without being cliche, heartwarming without being drippy.
#4. The Noel Diary
Yes, I’ll confess, I’m super biased because The Noel Diary was shot on location at some of my own personal daily haunts here in Connecticut: The Griswold Inn in Essex, Olive Oyls in Essex, RJ Julia in Madison, to name a few. And I did stand in the street and watch as Justin Hartley walked back and forth past paparazzi and into the Griswold Inn to shoot his scenes. So in a way I was sort of in The Noel Diaries, at least in spirit. :-)
"The Noel Diary" is an enchanting drama that weaves a heartwarming tale of love, forgiveness, and the power of second chances. Set against the picturesque backdrop of a quaint small town during the Christmas season, this captivating movie explores the transformative journey of a broken-hearted man and the mysterious diary that lands in his possession.
The story follows James Larson, a successful but emotionally detached travel writer who reluctantly returns to his hometown after his estranged father's sudden passing. Struggling with unresolved anger and resentment towards his father, James embarks on the arduous task of cleaning out his childhood home. Amidst the dusty memories, he discovers a hidden compartment that reveals a diary belonging to a woman named Noel.
Intrigued by the discovery, James delves into Noel's past, as each entry unravels a fragment of her story. As he reads through the chronicles of love, heartache, and redemption, he becomes increasingly captivated by the woman behind the words. The diary becomes a window to the past, introducing James to the vibrant young woman Noel once was.
Gradually, the diary begins to influence James' perspective on his own life, making him question the choices he has made and the bitterness he has held onto for too long. Reconnecting with old acquaintances, including Sarah, his childhood friend and possibly his lost love, James begins to unfold the true meaning of forgiveness and the value of embracing second chances.
As James is slowly transformed by Noel's words and the emotions they stir within him, he realizes that he too deserves the opportunity to rewrite his own narrative. In his quest for closure and redemption, he attempts to track down Noel and deliver the diary back to its rightful owner. Little does he know that this decision will not only change his own life but also have a profound impact on the lives of those around him.
"The Noel Diary" is an emotional rollercoaster that showcases the fragility of the human heart and the healing power of love. It reminds us that amidst the chaos of life, everyone deserves a chance at redemption and an opportunity to rewrite their story. With its picturesque Christmas setting and emotionally charged performances, this movie is a poignant reminder of the magic of the holiday season and the boundless possibilities it brings.
#5. The Princess Switch
As much as I love The Noel Diary, what I crave at Christmas is complete silliness and a departure from reality. The Princess Switch movies deliver this in spades. Vanessa Hudgens is adorable in dual roles as a baker, and a princess. In sequels to The Princess Switch, she also plays a misguided cousin.
"The Princess Switch" is a heartwarming romantic comedy that tells the amusing and enchanting tale of two identical women who switch lives during the festive holiday season.
Stacy DeNovo, a talented baker from Chicago, agrees to participate in a prestigious baking competition in the picturesque European kingdom of Belgravia. On her arrival, Stacy unexpectedly crosses paths with Lady Margaret, the soon-to-be princess of Belgravia, who is overwhelmed by the pressures of her royal responsibilities and yearns for a simpler life. Struck by their uncanny resemblance, Stacy and Lady Margaret hatch a plan to switch places for a few days leading up to Christmas, allowing both women to experience a taste of the lives they always longed for.
As Stacy steps into Lady Margaret's glamorous world, complete with royal guards, lavish events, and an overbearing fiancé, she quickly realizes that life as a princess is not all glitter and splendor. Meanwhile, Lady Margaret, disguised as Stacy, embraces her newfound freedom as a modest baker and discovers a genuine connection with Stacy's best friend and handsome co-worker, Kevin. Each woman finds unexpected love in their switched lives, but as the days go by, they are faced with tough decisions and the realization that their charade cannot last forever.
Caught in a whirlwind of mistaken identity, comedic mishaps, and blossoming romances, Stacy and Lady Margaret must confront the consequences of their choices. Will they find the courage to be honest about their true identities and follow their hearts? "The Princess Switch" is a delightful and heartwarming story about love, friendship, and the transformative power of taking a leap of faith, even if it means breaking a few royal protocols along the way.
Get ready to indulge in a joyous blend of laughter, love, and holiday cheer as "The Princess Switch" turns the festive season into a magical journey of self-discovery and a celebration of the true meaning of Christmas.

#6. The Christmas Chronicles
Save The Christmas Chronicles until about 10 days before Christmas, because it will blast you into a merry mood in no time. The Christmas Chronicles is easily the best Santa movie ever made (sorry Tim Allen, love you too). Using advanced special effects, graphics and modern sensibilities, The Christmas Chronicles was an instant classic when it was released back in 2018. Netflix quickly put a sequel into production, which echoes, but not mirrors, the charm of the original.
In "The Christmas Chronicles," we embark on an extraordinary journey filled with magic, love, and the true spirit of Christmas. Set against the mesmerizing backdrop of a snow-covered town, this enchanting tale follows the extraordinary adventures of Kate Pierce (Katy Cat - charmingly played by Darby Champ) and her older brother Teddy, who find themselves on an incredible quest to save Christmas.
The story unfolds as the Pierce family eagerly prepares for the joyful festivities ahead. However, as the children's widowed mother, Claire, takes on extra shifts at work, it becomes clear that the holiday spirit in their household has dwindled. With their father's passing, teenage Teddy's belief in the magic of Christmas has waned, leaving his younger sister Kate longing for the happy, united family they once were.
On Christmas Eve, mischievous and determined to capture Santa Claus on film, Katy unintentionally triggers an extraordinary chain of events. As Teddy begrudgingly joins in his sister’s adventure, the two mistakenly stow away on Santa’s sleigh. Thus begins their unforgettable journey to save Christmas.
Santa Claus is played by Kurt Russell - a performance you do not want to miss. Probably the most compelling and relatable Santa ever to grace a movie screen, Russell convinces us through a series of events, that Santa is indeed real.
Throughout their journey, Kate and Teddy discover the power of belief and the importance of helping others, reminding everyone that the true magic of Christmas lies within our hearts. Along the way, they encounter a group of endearing characters, including Santa's loyal elf, and together, they work against the clock to save Christmas and rediscover the joy that comes from believing.
"The Christmas Chronicles" is a heartwarming and captivating tale that celebrates the timeless themes of love, redemption, and the power of the holiday spirit. With dazzling cinematography, enchanting storytelling, and unforgettable performances, this festive adventure is sure to delight audiences of all ages and remind us all of the enduring magic and wonder of Christmas.
